Mike is a Software Engineer in the Embedded Systems Group. He works on a variety of embedded systems at MBARI, but his primary focus is on Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) software and control systems. Mike is involved in most aspects of ROV software from the user interface to the guidance, navigation, and control. Mike is also involved in a collaborative effort with the Standford ARL Group, led by Steve Rock, to apply some of their research to MBARI ROVs.
